Stefanie Basalik has successfully held executive roles at organizations such as the Washington County Historical Society, Frederick County Historical Society, and Montessori Academy of Chambersburg. At the Washington County Historical Society, she led strategic initiatives, enhanced operational efficiencies, and developed public outreach through promotional materials and community education.
During her tenure at the Frederick County Historical Society, she managed financial, operational, and human resources, securing long-term organizational success. At the Montessori Academy of Chambersburg, she advanced operations by negotiating vendor contracts, managing marketing and account systems, and driving organizational growth. Stefanie has also served as an adjunct professor at Frederick Community College and the University of Maryland Global Campus, where she taught U.S. history courses, developed curriculum, and fostered student engagement in both in-person and online formats.
Her career highlights a commitment to education, community development, and historical preservation.

Education
Stefanie holds a Ph.D. in American Studies from The Pennsylvania State University, reflecting her deep expertise in cultural and historical research. She earned a Master of Arts in History from James Madison University and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Bridgewater College, solidifying her academic foundation in history, political science, and interdisciplinary studies. She also has training in non-profit board management from the Harvard Kennedy School.

Service
A dedicated community leader, Stefanie has served on numerous boards and in leadership roles. She was Treasurer and Secretary for the Heart of the Civil War Heritage Area and a Board Member for the Meritus Healthcare Foundation. Her involvement with Rotary International includes roles as Public Image Chair for District 7360 and various leadership positions in the Hagerstown-Sunrise Rotary Club, including Secretary, Vice President, President, and Past President. Additionally, she serves as Second Vice Regent for the Daughters of the American Revolution, Franklin County PA Chapter.
