​Experience

Dr. Rebecca Hamm is an executive coach, educator, and former senior academic leader with more than two decades of experience shaping leaders and organizations. As Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Marine Corps University, she led a 50-person team responsible for the professional education of more than 70,000 officers and enlisted Marines annually across eight global campuses. She oversaw a $47 million budget, ensured the excellence and relevance of 24 educational programs, and led strategic initiatives in faculty development, professional learning, and outreach.

Her career spans senior academic leadership, faculty governance, and international teaching appointments, including roles with Georgetown University, the U.S. Marine Corps War College, and Soomyung’s Women’s University in Seoul, Republic of Korea. A respected voice in leadership and ethics, Dr. Hamm has published widely and been an invited speaker at institutions including the U.S. Naval Academy and the British Army’s Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

Today, Dr. Hamm is the Founder and CEO of Women Lead Well, where she helps successful women leaders continue growing professionally while leading authentically and sustainably. Through one-on-one executive coaching, the Women’s Executive Leadership Lab, and the Joyfully Unstoppable podcast, she equips women to lead with greater effectiveness, purpose, and sustainability.

Dr. Hamm’s professional contributions have been recognized with the Defense Meritorious Civilian Service Award and Big Sister of the Year from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Fredericksburg.

Dr. Hamm’s academic and professional career reflects extensive expertise in leadership, education, ethics, and organizational development. Her experience includes senior academic administration, higher education teaching, faculty development, and professional military education, with an international perspective shaped by teaching and leadership appointments in the United States and South Korea.

Service

A committed community and institutional leader, Dr. Hamm has served in governance and advisory roles across theological education, women’s leadership, and community organizations. She serves as Secretary of the Board of Governors for Wesley Theological Seminary, as a member of the Board of Directors for Cornerstone for Women Leaders, and as a member of the Advisory Board for the University of Mary Washington’s Women’s Leadership Colloquium.
