Michele L. Turner, MBCP, FBCI, CISA, CRISC, CCRP, CRMP, CHPCP is an Amazon #1 bestselling author, keynote speaker, and global resilience leader with more than 30 years of experience in governance, risk, compliance, business continuity, and organizational resilience.

Michele currently serves as Head of Global Business Resilience and Program Services for Marriott International, where she leads global initiatives related to operational resilience planning, risk mitigation, product management, and program services for the Risk Management organization. Previously, she served as Head of Global Business Resiliency for Amazon Corporate and held governance, risk, compliance, and business continuity leadership roles with Microsoft.

An internationally recognized speaker, Michele regularly shares her expertise on resilience, risk management, governance, and related areas. She brings a global perspective to helping organizations anticipate disruption, manage risk, and build the capabilities needed to remain resilient in an increasingly complex environment.

Michele is the recipient of the 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award sponsored by the Disaster Recovery Institute (DRI) International, recognizing her longstanding contributions to the field of business continuity and resilience.

Education

Michele holds two Master of Science degrees from Norwich University, one in Business Continuity and another in Cybersecurity with an emphasis on Cyberlaw and International Perspectives in Cyberspace. Her academic background complements her extensive professional experience in organizational resilience, cybersecurity, risk management, and governance.

Service

Michele serves as Chairperson of the Board of Directors for DRI International, one of the leading organizations in the field of business continuity and organizational resilience. She is also a Senior Fellow of the Center for Global Resilience & Security at Norwich University, where she contributes as a course developer and adjunct faculty member.

In addition, Michele serves as a course instructor for DRI International, contributing to the education and professional development of resilience practitioners around the world. Her leadership, teaching, and professional service reflect a longstanding commitment to advancing the fields of resilience, risk management, governance, and organizational preparedness.
